ParaSite is the first project that had a site to respond to. My specific site was a wall in the courtyard of the architecture building. We were instructed to design and build an installation that responded to and enhanced the site.
The most precious aspect of our site was the height and the shadows created by the large tree. Our team designed three triangles, created from angles of the tree to the wall, hung from the tree that could be moved by pulling the strings which would allow users to create their own shadows on the canvas-like wall.
It was important to our team to create an installation that was interactive due to the site being in a courtyard made for socializing and activities.
