This National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration research center is located on Cal Poly’s campus at the Highland Drive entrance. The program includes research labs, student classrooms, administrative offices and dining. The environment promotes collaboration between students and researchers and a “learn by doing” atmosphere. My focus was on passive heating and cooling to practice sustainable architecture in accordance with NOAA’s core beliefs.
